In the summer of 1981 a gruesome quadruple homicide occurred on LA s Wonderland Avenue. The police investigation that ensued exposed a seedy underworld full of liars, thieves, and drug dealers. At the center of the investigation were three groups: a group of low level drug dealers and thieves who are the murdered , a notorious LA kingpin and his goons, and the legendary pornstar John Holmes, along with his wife and girlfriend. Wonderland looks at these three groups and tells the story of how these murders came about and what the motives behind them truly were. Patients With Chronic Conditions Save With Medicare Rx Benefit

A new study shows that Medicare beneficiaries with chronic conditions are likely to save money under the new Part D prescription drug benefit. The National Health Council s report, Savings from the Medicare Drug Benefit for Beneficiaries with Chronic Conditions, analyzed government data on Medicare beneficiaries and anticipated savings under the Medicare drug benefit for those with nine common chronic conditions: Alzheimer s disease, arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, mental disorder, osteoporosis and Parkinson s disease. According to the report, many Medicare beneficiaries with chronic conditions can expect to save under the new benefit - sometimes significantly. A mouth of a perfectly happy man is filled with beer. After coining that phrase, you don t think this anonymous Egyptian from 2200 BC kept it to himself. I can see him raise his drinking vessel to his Nile-side neighbors while repeating the words. Every country in the world has some sort of traditional drinking toast, often dozens. Usually one or two words, common toasts are not in the same league with toasts to the bride which can drone on for hours , or to the retiree who s been with us for 30 years but would rather get to his food while it s hot.
